Typically, it is recommended to take Actonel with a full glass of plain water on an empty stomach, at least 30 minutes before consuming any food, beverages, or other medications. In case of a missed dose of Actonel, take the tablet as soon as you remember, unless it is close to the time for your next scheduled dose. Do not double the dose to compensate for the missed one. If you miss taking Actonel once a week, take the tablet on the morning you remember, but do not take two tablets on the same day. Return to your regular dosing schedule the following week. If you suspect an overdose or experience severe symptoms such as severe bone, joint, or muscle pain, seek immediate medical attention.
