Uses of Combigan
Combigan is indicated for the reduction of elevated intraocular pressure in patients with glaucoma or ocular hypertension. Combigan is a combination drug containing brimonidine tartrate and timolol maleate, which work together to lower eye pressure by reducing fluid production and improving fluid drainage. It is used when patients require adjunctive or replacement therapy for inadequately controlled intraocular pressure. Combigan is typically prescribed as one drop in the affected eye(s) twice daily, approximately 12 hours apart.
Dosage Information
The recommended dosage of Combigan is one drop in the affected eye(s) twice daily, approximately 12 hours apart. If multiple topical ophthalmic products are used٫ they should be instilled at least 5 minutes apart to avoid interactions. Combigan contains brimonidine tartrate 2mg in 1mL and timolol maleate 5mg in 1mL٫ and each drop delivers this combination medication to help reduce intraocular pressure in glaucoma or ocular hypertension patients.
